The technology available in our classroom was a television, a document camera, and a projector. The document camera was used daily and for almost every lesson that we and our mentor teacher taught. There was a SmartBoard available in the classroom next door but the other teacher used it as her white board and we did not want to be cumbersome by asking to borrow it. The document camera, however, was very useful. b. Which technologies were used during field experience? How were they used? How often were they used?
We used the document camera everyday. We used it to help the students follow along during reading, while teaching a new topic that needed to be modeled on paper before we allowed the students to work independently, playing online videos, and we used it to show students images that we needed to be blown up on the screen. I was really thankful to have the document camera in our classroom available because we used it for everything.
